My deep pearl black R arrived today at my dealer (dyno p5)

Hello Everyone,

I just got a phonecall from my dealer that my black R arrived just 7 week's and 5 day's after ordering it. (order date 7-1-2010) At the end of the week i will be able to take a peek and hopefully next week i will be driving it. Needless to say that i am very excided now.

OMG 7 weeks, how come it was so quick, ? ordered mine mid November and it is being built this week, post some photos as soon as you can please.

Just got my R, i cant tell you how good it is ...and not even put my foot down yet!!!

This has now raised my hopes that I will get mine quickly too. Probably won't though. spamdog do you have to run the engine in for so many miles with the R or should i say run it in more or less than the other Scirocco's?

I live in Holland so i don't know really know what scappage scheme means, but if this means that you trade in a car that is going to be recycled / distroyed i have to say know because i traded a 3 year old Seat Leon Cupra. I gues the reason is i ordered the car in Holland and i suppose with our tax regulations overhere, we have a much smaller market for the Scirocco R. (and we are a much smaller country) A Scirocco R overhere has a base price of € 45.000,00

I don't think there is any running in periods now as it is all done at the factory, but I tend to drive careful for about 600 miles then start rising the revs.
Being extra careful I don't really rant it until 1000 miles but I'm pretty sure you can do it from day one if you wish with no problems.

After owning a GT, I can't believe how good it feels when you realise it's harder work to get in the car, then you look down and realise the side spoiler is massive! Lol
