Hi all. Recieved my new 1.4tsi on the 1st. Fantastic car - first VW, what a place to start!

Quick question - does this engine consume much oil? I'm used to an Alfa 156 that went through loads so its no big deal if it does, just need to know if I need to check the oil frequently or not.

The Scirocco doesn't consume much oil at all

Hi Tid, which dealer did you use, I got mine 4 weeks ago to the day from Daybrook. My oils hardly moved on the stick, but I did buy some top up oil.

Its a company car, so not from a local dealer. I'll be using daybook in future for servicing - do they seem OK?

Couldnt agree more Nottingham VW is pants since they moved to Daybrook, I got my Scirocco & last Polo sport from Arthur Princes at Loughborough...great franchise they cant do enough for you, plus they do a collect & deliver if the cars need to go to the garage, which is more than Daybrook do, Nottm VW went downhill when Fox's sold out.

Enjoy your Scirocco I know I am, took mine to down to Kent at the weekend.....
