Did have a mega laff about this 'Shine-X' lark, told him i had bought Rain-X for a polo in a previous life, and not dropped 'mayo' from my frites on the seat, all for Euro 7.99.

I played one dealer off the other so ended up with a good deal :)
Black 2.0TSI with black leather, xenons, parking sensors, folding wingmirrors, dynaudio, flat tyre indicators and smoking pack (for the lid - smoking is yuck!).
Ordered 31st August
Arrived at dealers 21st January
Picking up MARCH 1ST at 830am!!!!!!!!!

Well i was trying to get another one involved but they phoned back 10 minutes after i'd done the deal :lol: he wasn't happy! I ordered the day before 1st September price increase so i had to do the deal that day!

My local dealear was not good, ask me to find my own Scirocco without sunroof as it was only too difficult for him too do. I needed that extra space as quite tall. Pity as I have always had a new VW from them for past 12 years.....

I looked around 12 dealers, South London was good for me even though 57 miles aways, and my usual one was 8... but a 'win-win' situation worked out.

Yeah, I was kinda brow beaten into it, 'If you dont order straight away you may miss out on the scrappage scheme, Vat will be going back up, you may have to pay the finally payment with your first born child' etc etc.... How can they sleep at night... :think:

I just popped in tonight to sort some bits ready for pick up. He hasn't charged me for the wingmirrors ha ha ha brilliant! I sat in it too, it was so nice! I am officially soo excited now :D

Well, all change. Due to a senior sales manager who needs to go on a 'customer satisfaction' course, my car was lost. I have made it known to the very good sales chap that i delt with (he was on a course at VW MK when all this happen) that i am not impressed with his boss. Can only get me now the 210hp 2.0GT in Rising Blue without the leather next month, if I want the leather June/July!!!!. Come on VW.

I gave in and said ok, no leather.

I did leave feeling a 'win-win' situation when I left on Sunday, however by tuesday, felt 'we win- we got your money' situation did happen.

AHHHHHHHHH STOP!!!!! :sick: :sick:

All this talk of new arrivals is making me ill.... AND its worse than Man Flu

I have been told by dealer that my car is built with consignment number and awaiting shipping, been told that it will take 7 to 10 days for them to recieve it and that was last Friday. I would have expected to hear something today... nothing... :crazy: so I called them to be told it was still sat in Germany.

My build week was week 5.... So do any of you guys have any idea when it could tip up over here for PDI then delivery for the conversion?
