applying FK1000

Ok iv got pretty much everything i need now

Duragloss 901 CWC
Wash mit
Serious performance paint cleanser
Duragloss 601 polish bonding agent
2 Microfibre towels
FK1000 Hi-temp paste wax

iv also got the wax applicator but was wondering how i go about applying the wax as it seems really hard. Do i need to heat it up first or anything? Also how long should i leave it on before i buff the wax off?

Its a sealant really and a very good one too. Apply very sparingly with a foam applicator, allow to cure for a few minutes and buff off. After 24 hours you could add another layer. As always your paint prep is the key.

Its also a brilliant wheel seal too. Prep. your wheels with the paint cleanser, then apply the 1000. Stand back and admire the shine!

I had a play with mine last week, like freon says use very sparingly. Just swipe the applicator over the surface of the "wax" a couple of times then apply in a circular motion. Buff off with a microfibre . I'm going to try give mine a good wax/ sealant tomorrow.

If it's the first time you're using the pot you may need to just give the top layer a gentle rub with your fingers - this will help to remove the top layer that forms a sort of "crust" during the cooling stage and it will warm the sealant up slightly, which will make it easier to apply. As the others have already said, less is more, just wipe the applicator over the top of the sealant gently, then away you go!
