I'm always into rather different cars, and this one is it... My previous cars include a Forfour Brabus (0-62 in 6.3 seconds... SMART cars can be fun..) and a Mk2 Rev1 Toyota MR2, which was a beauty.
Just gone ahead and ordered a Scirocco in White, Vienna, TSi 2.0 GT 210 with the DSG Transmission and a few other upgrades. I like White cars, not sure why, this one looks really good in it!
I took one of these for a test-drive a month or two ago and in the meantime did the full rounds of Volvo C30, Mini Coopers, BMW 1 & 3, Audi TT and the 370Z all of which have various strengths and follies. The Scirocco was the most practical (mini is too small, 370z has no rear seats), the best specced as standard (BMW 1 and TT are poor by comparison) and from a brand likely to live (bye Volvo) and not a common car (Series 3 BMW).
Sorry to add one more to the numbers on the road! It's a 12/04/2010 delivery estimate, so I guess not too long. But still....
