I'm currently doing the same mate and rather than getting direct from a dealer I'd try some of these brokers. They put you in touch with a dealer in the end, but if you are going to use a dealer then it's a good point to take in the prices from these sites and then see what they can offer.

There are a few other broker sites about but I've been looking into the Scirocco's for a good month or so now and these 2 seem to be the best.

The reading on the extras has helped me out too, I was definitely looking for leather but if it doesn't hold up then fabric is fine, I have fabric in my 3 year old Astra and it's still spot on.

I haven't heard good things about those kinds of brokers - I hear they are very flexible with the 'delivery estimates'. They just want to fill their order books so they can go to the dealer's with a bulk order the soonest.
