Mats...

Postby ammo23 » 16 Oct 2009 23:22

Hey,

I need to get some mats for my Scirocco, but after being quoted £76 for some thick carpet 'Scirocco' embroided mats, I'm looking to get something a little cheaper for over the winter months, as they'll only get ruined!

Has anyone got rubber mats in their Scirocco, or do they spoil the look of the interior? I was sure I spotted some rubber mats online the other week with 'Scirocco' embossed up the side - anyone else seen these and know where to get them?

Opinions please?

Thanks

I took delivery of my fab 170 GT on 1st Sept.
Very pleased with everything about the car. Bought VW mats @ £75.
Bit disappointed that after 5000 miles I am noticing a pronounced hole appearing under my right foot.
Hope they last the course......

First post!!
Glad someone else had posted about mats, as it's been agonising me for a while. Have been driving around without any for several weeks and need to get something sorted for the winter.
Have some rubber mats from a reasonably new Polo that say 'VW' on them, obviously!, and was thinking of cutting them to size. But for £26 I might as well go for the proper Scirocco ones.
Unless anyone has actually found carpet mats that fit and don't cost £75? I looked in Halfords but the Scirocco's not in their catalogue...

You beauty! Definitely worth a look.

Which grade did you go for? Standard, Deluxe or Super Deluxe? (assuming you didn't get rubber)

I wanted some mats that were fitted to the scirocco's floorpan. the place I work for does a range of fitted rubber car mats made by Cannon, so I shall be fitting some when my car arrives tomorrow! If the results are good I'll put some pictures up:

At that price I would go the extra £10 and get the VW ones with Scirocco on them and the stud holes.
