I'm totally ecstatic, it's FINALLY here....!!!!!!!! Got my Scirocco today and already done 80 miles...
You petrol Roccers will probably laugh at me but the power delivery from this TDi 140 is way more exiting than my 56 reg 2.0 TDi Jetta. I can only imagine how the 170 TDi or the 2.0 TSi will perform.
Placed a nice order for some goodies from AutoPerfection for some TLC this weekend and hopefully get a Fiscon bluetooth unit fitted on Saturday as well.
I still find it hard to believe that some say the interior could have been better... I think it's absolutely gorgeous and the trim is of such high quality.

I'm so impressed with this engine. It's so smooth for a diesel and it has already managed over 60MPG this morning to work with the cruise control set on 80...

Great choice Stretts , I only wish my budget allowed for the 170 when I placed my order
My dealer is going to call me once they get their VW Racing specced 140 demo.
Upped to 170+, new exhaust, suspension and special air filter all for £1500 and with the VW warrantee still intact.
But I love this car as is and it is such an improvement over my TDi Jetta that I can't be bothered with these mods. I might be tempted later to have it remapped but without all the other upgrades...

When do you expect delivery of the 170? Hope it's very soon buddy...

Hope it won't be to long, I ordered it on the 6th April inital build date was week 21 then changed to week 18 which is next week. Then how ever long it takes to get over here etc. I test drove the 170 at our local dealers that was it choice made a great car. Should have it intime for the pano roof to be open all the time!!

Hi GTI2RocR, I live in Chells Manor, SG2. I used to live in Crouch End, London but after they broke into my car twice and stole my Yamaha R1 , I had to move away. Stevenage is ideal for us as my missus works in London and I work in Peterborough. 100 Miles round trip for me every day

To be honest, it was a toss-up between the Rising Blue and Candy. I love the Candy as well but after I seen a very dirty Golf at the dealer during winter, it made my choice easier. Coming from a Shadow Blue Jetta, the Rising Blue just seems more electric or alive in colour (if that makes any sense ) Best colour IMO for the R.
