I was hoping for a survey of some type:

Continental Sport Contact 2's
Continental Sport Contact 3'S
Michelin P Zero Rosso
Toyo
Hankook V12
Goodyear Eagle F1

I currently have Sport Contact 2's on my R but they seem to be a bit slippy in the wet.

265 BHP front wheel drive most tyres will be slippery in the wet, my R spins in 4th gear in the wet

I blew two tyres out at the same time in devon in summer 2010. (The dunlops that came with the car were pretty rubbish, and didn't ever inspire confidence) so after finding the euro master (luckily only 5 miles away) I went for 4 brand new Michelin SP3's. The car had done 8K then, and at 20K, I swapped the fronts for rears.... 21K and the rears are now dead. but the fronts have lots left in them, so hopefully they'll go till 28-30K.

I've decided to try out the Avon ZZ5. Camskills do them for £230 including delivery for two. (guess it'll be another £20-30 to have them fitted). The reviews al seem pretty positive, and they are british made!

Will be putting them on the rear, and if they're any good, replacing the other SP3s when they're time comes.

Will post back some time in the next 1000 miles to update.

p.s. if anyone knows of any reason why scirocco and avon should not be lawfully wedded, please speak now!

Just had new boots put on the Roc due to my excessive wear / geometry problem. Turns out that at some point my track rod end had been left pretty much undone, causing her to pull to the left slightly (I only ever noticed this under heavy braking tbh) Anyway that completely ruined the Falken FK452s i had on there so i'm trying out some Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas in 235/35R19 after reading some pretty outstanding reviews.

£705 for four fitted from Blackcircles.com

I'll update after a couple of hundred miles but initial impressions are good

Im running the Vredestein's on mine at the moment and I really rate them. They seem to do really well in all areas at a very modest price.

Yeah thats the bad boys !!!
Mine are 19" so more expensive.
I`m really impressed with them so far, grip is excellent wet or dry.
Can`t say to much about wear at the moment as only had them on a week or so.
Road noise is pretty low too
At £114 each I would say go for them

For any Scottish guys/girls on the forum in the Glasgow/Lanarksire area, try Jim Dicksons in Cumbernauld Village always seems to get the best selection of tyres and the best prices anywhere.

Used him loads for my VXR's in the past was never more than £800 for branded tyres fitted, balanced and also tracking doing at same time.
