Hi folks i am new on here,

i have noticed a few people on here asking about the new steering wheel

thought this bit of info might be useful,
i priced the new 2010 steering wheel up recently at the dealers,

£362+vat for the multifunction steering wheel
£465+vat for the airbag unit
also you may need an airbag cover
plus 1 - 2 hours fitting

Have to agree there Chalkie, do think the 2009 wheel is more "subtle" however there are some of the changes I would like, the aerial in the windows and the new 19 inch alloys would have been nice!!

Not over fussed about about the new dash either but 19's would definitely been on the list.

By the time you add VAT and labour its closer to about £1200. Hmm.... steering wheel or fully fitted VW bodykit for a couple of hundred quid more?

I know what I'd spend my money on.

i thought i prefered the 2010 wheel.
then a couple of weeks ago i borrowed a passat cc for a while, which had the new wheel.
i found that my thumbs seem to rest of the edge of the steering wheel controls which was annoying me, the silver bezel doesn't need to stick out that much...
purely because of this, i prefer the old wheel lol
i'm planning to get the 2009 on my rocco retrimmed when i get it with new stitchin to look like the golf mk5 gti edition 30 wheel.
