Don't know if anyone else looked at the Black 2.0 GT for 18990, March 09 reg in ******* ... doesn't seem to exist. It went from, yes can see the car to - oh its on reservation from another branch.

It is a ploy to get you in and sell you a new one albeit discounted. Not that this worries me especially but I hate being scammed.

Yep, I came up against the same thing with *******. Booked a testdrive in the 19k car and when I turned up they only had a fully loaded demo car available. Went back a few days later with a list of the Scirocco's shown on their website and asked 'em to highlight the one's they actually had in stock!
Did end up buying my car from them, but initially they wouldn't budge on price. Waited a few weeks and saw 'em drop the price by 2k on the website - was straight on the phone to reserve it!!
....but yeah, they certainly play some games to get you into the showroom.
