This is my first how-to and I had to use my phone camera so please be gentle!
Removal of the trims either side of the back seat isn't too difficult however putting them back can be a right nightmare! Firstly I accept no responsibility for you damaging your car or yourself performing this job.
I also recommend that you purchase some trim removal tools such as these:
I got mine from eBay but there are some available on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sykes-Pickavant-Trim-Removal-Kit/dp/B003Y4E5OG
You will also need a Torx T20 screwdriver and a magnetic one will save you loads of hassle later
I did this in a different order but I recommend from experience doing it this way:
First you need to remove the piece of trim from to top of the roof lining. It just pulls off so gently start from the middle and get your fingers under it to pull it off.
Once you have this trim off put it to one side as you will now need to remove the trim at the side of the boot (that the parcel shelf sits on). First take out the parcel shelf then there are 3 screws that you need to remove
You need to remove the bag hook by pulling the hook at the bottom out first, the shape of it is show here so you can see how to pull it out:
As you can see there is a hook at the top and a clip at the bottom. Then remove the screw underneath it:
This is where your magnetic screwdriver will help as the screw tends to fall inside the trim once it's out. Before you yank the trim off you need to unplug the light and the power socket:
Next you can remove the trim above this (with the airbag logo on it) This should just come off with a sharp pull, The metal clip towards the from stick in the metalwork on mine and I had to retrieve it with long nose pliers.
Before removing the cards you will need to remove the base of the rear seat. This should come out easily by giving it a sharp pull up then forwards (sorry for the appalling photo!)
You need to then remove this T20 screw
Then release the bottom of the card by giving the pocket a sharp pull then get your fingers round the edges and release it and manoeuvre it upwards. Don't pull it out too far as the wire for the tweeter will still be attached
You can no remove the trim from the car.
Refitting is the reverse of removal bit it is VERY fiddly. Take your time is my best advice on this.
Before reffitting you will see some clips on the back of the card, they do break easily but they are readily available from the dealer, the part number is 7L6 868 243 and they are about 52p each (at time of writing).
Before putting the card back in you will need to make sure all the clips look like this:
NOT this:
Otherwise the card will not clip back in properly. The best way (in my experience) to get them to clip in is a sharp smack from fairly close with the heal of your hand.
Good luck and feel free to post any questions here so everyone can benefit.
