New to forum - I haven't read through all the posts etc, but just wondered what is the best power upgrade for my 2.0 GT TSI. I only want to spend around £400 at the moment and have only really looked at Superchips/Bluefin. Are these any good and worth the cash - will economy be pretty much the same ? Thanks for any advice, although I am sure I could the answer if I read through the whole forum :?:

Go bluefin... 50bhp more, similar economy, £390

Ok thanks - is this something that effects insurance much - I pay around £300 full comp protected NCB but I assume I have to advise the IC? (Esure at present).

The official answer would have to be yes, some insurance companies are more relaxed about re-maps etc than others, will also depend on your driving record. Worst case sceanrio is you don't tell them, stack the car and they fail to cover you/pay out.

if your insurance is only £300 then bluefin shouldn't cost much more. Depends on whether esure cover remaps though. If not your looking for insurance elsewhere....

Just checked with Esure and they wanted £43 more for 3 months!!!

I know of plenty of people who have had good prices from AdrianFlux for modded cars, and they also offer track day cover if required.

Perhaps a forum discount could be arranged with AF. I know hes popular on 1 or 2 of the GOLF forums

Tried the Adrian Flux website quote yesterday but it crashed so need to make a call. Mine isn't up for renewal until August so will get something sorted in by then - thanks for the advice
