Tme to top up the oil after 2500 miles, handbook says no data available for oil spec (had car since October) which oil is needed has anyone been advised yet and which Quantum is it as I have loads of Synta from Golf GTI left? Cheers

Any fully sythetic though VAG recommends Castrol. But that's just a markerting tie up I reckon. Like Whirlpool recommending Ariel.

i think you will find it must be 5w-30 to vw spec,but as sciroccorocket says get it from the dealer(quantum is probably produced by fuchs or castrol anyway) any warranty issues on the engine and you have more bargaining power.
