I have got the standard fold in wing mirrors was wondering if they can be upgraded to electric folding in ones and if so is it expensive to do.

Dealers say no this cant be retrofitted however should be possible but expensive.

If the cost is along the same lines as upgrading the steering wheel to the 2010 one (circa £1,200) I dont think many people will be changing them. :?

There is a cheaper alternative ..... 2 screw-in hooks and 2 lengths of string. Work just fine :lol:

How good are the fold in mirrors? The ones in my Golf were a total waste of time as they hardly folded at all. Nothing like BMW or Merc ones which fold back flat against the windscreen.

They are good. I thought they folded themselves back out over a certain speed but they dont which is handy when doding Nova's coming at you in the opposite direction on narrow country lanes.
