i got mine off e bay and they were only about ten quid and fit fine they were 65mm and are the genuine part

 

If you are still under warrenty, you can have them changed for free. I did this last year at my local dealers, and will again as at least 1 has got the dreaded 'White Worm' thing going on! :wave:

I wish I had have known this two month's ago when mine was still in warranty.

I have the tape measure on my coffee table ready to measure my centre caps to order some on ebay.

Anyone know whether they come with an adhesive or if you need some sort of tape?

 

There are not adhesive. They clip on to the centre of the wheel.
Watch ebay as sellers sell fake ones and sell just the VW logo making you think you have to stick them on :naughty:

Reasonable quality with the VW part no's inside. I packed the seam at the edges with hard wax to try and seal them a bit better against the wet.

 

They clip on? Brilliant. Unfortunately that link didn't work but I'll just try to buy from a power seller.

 

Will these be covered under the 3 year warranty? or.will the try bullshit me saying its a 3000 miles warranty only.
Like they did about any interior rattle

just bought these, when they come i will post a picture and let you all know how they fit.

£33.60 from dealer £8.50 off ebay and im guessing the ebay ones will last longer than the dealer ones as it looks like they have a clear plastic coating over the logo.

 

Just remember the links aren`t OEM stock but are replacement parts.

They may last or you may just get your monies worth?

 

Yeah, a4gee, at the end of the day if you've paid £8.50 for them then I think I'd be happy for them to last a year (well maybe a little longer but you get my point).

How have these centres faired with use? Who was the seller?

I went into the garage to get mine changed under warranty and they wouldn't do it, they wanted £80 for the parts and fitting. Told him no thanks. He did say that if you do it yourself don't use a screw driver to take the originals out, use a drill and drill through the centre of them and pull them out that way.

I still need to get the parts so will be watching eBay.
