Just an idea..

You know how when you use the R DRLs, theres a gap left on the edges as it doesnt fit in the bumper correctly.. what if you used the front glass bit from the standard ones and fit that lense that actually does fill the gap on the R DRls?

I've never removed my side lights and taken a good look at them or anything but if its anything like regular headlight covers cant you put them in the oven for a few minutes till the glue gets soft, then remove the lens and replace with your standard side lights lens cover..

I'm not sure if it will damage the LEDs.. etc as they're not removable like the bulbs in the side lights but its just a thought..

You need to use a dremel to cut the fronts off and you wouldnt have any indicators as the R LEDs are only white (hence the reason for this mod)

Lights have arrived. Iulian has drilled out holes in the reflector for the orange LEDs to sit. Genius.

I'm off home to get my bumper fitted.

Bumper fitted. All done. Took me about an hour and a half. half way through it started bucketing down. Just about to nip out and use VAGCOM to tell the car I no longer have fog lights.

What an amazing effect. I wish I had something like this.. I don't like the ones currently on offer. They don't seem reliable and/or have the same effect of the original scirocco R DRLs.

No its says they are rated 55w each...

The DRL's look great and work well! There is an option in VCDS 10 to turn the drl's off when indicating that could be another option to the module from Iulian.
